This trail at the end of Saunders Road has been closed by the landowner. Please respect his wishes.
May 29/17 Please use extreme care if you are using the rail trail, the county has taken it upon them selves to do some serious remedial work on the trail, in the process railroad spikes are being brought to the surface, this has cost one rider serious expense to his ATV. We are asking permission from County to clear this hazard, If you see any please pick them up.

The snowmobile trail from Brealock Rd (Halls Lake ) to North Shore Rd. not be use as the owners will prosecute any one found tresspassing. He called this morning May 7/17 and is upset with ATV's going on his property at 3 am.
The pinery in Kawartha is off limits to side by side ORV's, there are no signs advising riders and they are issuing $450. trespassing fines to sxs atv's. posted Nov.20/16

Temporary Trail Closure Notice
Please be advised that the Haliburton County Rail Trail is now open to all traffic at the Howland Junction Bridge effective November 10 2016 . We thank the County of Haliburton for repairing the bridge..
Side x sides are still not allowed on the rail trail.
An annual or temporary HATVA or KATVA trail pass is required to ride the trail in the City of Kawartha Lakes. In the Haliburton portion of the rail trail any one of these passes are valid HATVA, KATVA, and ATVO Power Pass.
The ATVO Power Pass is not valid in the City of Kawartha Lakes including their portion of the rail trail.
ORV'S ON HIGHWAYS
Haliburton County and its 4 townships have all passed resolutions to amend current bylaws to allow 2up ATV's and side by side ORV's on all municipal roads in the County.
Private cottage roads are not included, permission from owners is still required.

BEAVER DAM TRAIL T3.11 In the swampy area just before the steel bridge/ramp we made a cordoroy bridge over the first
crossing using existing dead wood and then a rock and wood ramp coming out of the water at the far side (2nd crossing)
eliminating a steep offcamber section.
