Work has started on the fire access Rd and will continue until sept 15 this is mostly grading and adding aggregate. During this time extreme caution must be used as trucks and heavy machinery are present. Culvert # 1 as per map will be done on sept 11 to the 15 and this location will be closed to all traffic . Culvert #2 will be closed from sep 18th to the 29th to all traffic . There may be additional work that has not been finalized so as I find out we will update our site . These dates give them leeway for weather etc so if they are done sooner we will post the updates.

This trail at the end of Saunders Road has been closed by the landowner. Please respect his wishes.

Rail Trail

May 29/17 Please use extreme care if you are using the rail trail, the county has taken it upon them selves to do some serious remedial work on the trail, in the process railroad spikes are being brought to the surface, this has cost one rider serious expense to his ATV. We are asking permission from County to clear this hazard, If you see any please pick them up.

August 2017: 2 km section of the Rail Trail needs to be used to detour Ritchie Falls property owners out to Gelert Road due to the Township needing to rehabilitate two 1-lane bridges. This will occur in September. The Township will be brushing and constructing pull-offs so vehicles have some opportunity to pass each other.

The snowmobile trail from Brealock Rd (Halls Lake ) to North Shore Rd. not be use as the owners will prosecute any one found tresspassing. He called this morning May 7/17 and is upset with ATV's going on his property at 3 am.

The pinery in Kawartha is off limits to side by side ORV's, there are no signs advising riders and they are issuing $450. trespassing fines to sxs atv's. posted Nov.20/16

BEAVER DAM TRAIL T3.11 In the swampy area just before the steel bridge/ramp we made a cordoroy bridge over the first crossing using existing dead wood and then a rock and wood ramp coming out of the water at the far side (2nd crossing) eliminating a steep offcamber section.
